The Wuhan-Xianning Intercity Railway, the first intercity railway in Hubei Province, will be open to public this Saturday. Also, section one of Wuhan Metro Line 4 will go into operation on the same day. The two lines solve traffic problems both inside and outside Wuhan. This will make travel more convenient for tourists. It also makes Wuhan a more significant transportation hub.
Wuchang Railway Station to Xianning South Railway Station in just 40 minutes
Our reporter experienced the intercity railway firsthand. It only took 40 minutes to travel from Wuchang Railway Station to Xianning South Railway Station by train CRH2A.The distance between the two stations is 90 kilometers. The head of Xianning South Railway Station said that this station is the one closest to the center of Xianning; the center of the city is only 10 minutes away by car. A second class coach ticket costs only RMB 30.
There are six self-service ticket machines for the intercity railway at the East Square of Wuchang Railway Station.
In addition to the Wuhan-Xianning Intercity Railway, there are two other kinds of transportation methods that link the two cities. There is a CRH line and the existing rail line. The new line will be the supplement for the other two lines.
Six free direct routes to hot spring resorts
Traveling to Xianning via the highway usually takes at least one hour. In order to change the situation, on the day the Wuhan-Xianning Intercity Railway opens, the Jinjiadun Tourism Hub will open six new direct bus routes to hot spring resorts in Xianning, Yingcheng, and Chibi. These buses will shuttle tourists free of charge.
From this Saturday to the end of "hot-spring season" in April of next year, there will be two buses, one at 9:00 A.M. and one at 1:00 P.M., that will depart from Jinjiadun and Fujiapo Coach Station and head to the various hot spring resorts; these buses will run daily. The buses return at 12:00 P.M and 5:00 P.M. They take the tourists to Sanjiang Forest Hot Springs, Country Garden Phoenix Hot Springs, Wanhao Hot Springs Valley, Taiyi Hot Springs, Tangchi Hot Springs, and Longyou Hot Springs.
The biggest advantage of direct route is that tourists can get to the main gates of the hot spring resorts free of charge. This gives customers more choices than traveling with travel agencies.
